About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn other peoples stories, and create my own!!!

ABOUT ME

I have just recently moved back to Oregon after some travelling. Have been lucky enough to find work in a field I am passionate about and am loving the places I get to explore while working in the woods!!! I have recently realized that I have a nomadic soul, and so always have the longing to travel. However, while I am stationary, I would love to meet up with other travelers and so welcome any communication!

PHILOSOPHY

Who knows what can come from a day. Life is full of opportunities! I think it is amazing how you can meet someone for the first time and feel like you've known them for years....thats not really a philosophy but still worth noting

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Met up with some CSers in South Africa and had a great experience. Now I want to give back and meet other travelers in my current location

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met up with a cool chic in Johannesburg who also helped me sort through some travelling complications.....so incredibly generous!!!

Interests

Really anything outdoors, hiking, climbing (trees and rocks), rafting, kayaking, scuba diving, soccer. I love traveling and learning about the areas I am in (flora, fauna, new cultures in new places!). I also loooove me some music, am known to bust a random dance move...bluegrass, folk, classic rock, jam bands...loove live shows and festivals. I also like to settle down with a good book, do some yoga, take my dog out for hikes/walks, or just observe the clouds. I have a few meals that I can cook well, but am interested in learning more about that. Am also working on expanding more on my creative side (ill let you know what may come from that)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Allman Brothers, Yonder Mountain String Band, Old Crow Medicine Show, Trampled By Turtles, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic, Sam Bush, John Prine, Phish, Railroad Earth, Janis Joplin, Greensky Bluegrass....I could go on and on

Books: Ishmael kinda changed my life (highly recommend it), Shantaram also a must read!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Id have to say driving across Australia with a great friend in a 25 year old ford falcon wagon was pretty amazing. There were so many great experiences...snorkeling 6 ft from a whale shark, racing a herd of kangaroos on horseback, scuba diving within what looked like alien coral....difficult to pinpoint just one thing

Teach, Learn, Share

I am usually able to name a couple trees and a couple of birds in my local area of the time. I always appreciate learning new things in nature. I am always wanting to learn other languages and cultures. I guess if you have any specific questions, I can do my best to find some sort of answer

Countries I’ve Visited
