About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore our vast world and meet new people making friendships & building bridges.

ABOUT ME

Married, non-smoker, moderate drinker. Free spirit. Liberal politics. Love to read, travel, hike, talk about airlines, history and more. Former park ranger for National Park Service. Walked Camino de Santiago (Camino Frances) twice; Camino Portugues in 2017.

PHILOSOPHY

Just because someone is different doesn't mean s/he isn't equal and deserving respect. We're all in this together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I haven't hosted or surfed, but we look forward to it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have only met fellow couch surfers socially but haven't yet hosted or surfed through this community. We have been very well behaved houseguests across the globe, staying with friends in Auckland, Cologne, Venice and Copenhagen as well as in many cities across the USA. Experienced pet-sitter. Have hosted many friends from across the United States at our Indiana log home.

Interests

Art, history, politics, hiking, biking, travel, airline industry, culture, food, animals and just about everything except conservative politics.

Music, Movies, and Books

Mysteries, travel, finance/economics, tech, culture, art, history-I'll read just about anything. Don't watch many movies or TV (don't have cable) but love just about everything PBS.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed Mt. Fuji, been to 95 countries, and earned my private pilot's license.

Teach, Learn, Share

Love to cook ethnic foods and would love to learn to make homemade pasta. Experienced beekeeper (currently without bees) but willing to suit up and help you. Pretty handy around the house and in all forms of yard work.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A fun loving and easy-going personality, very clean and low maintenance, respects others' needs and property. Able to entertain ourselves but enjoy spending time with locals and trying new things.
