About Me

Hello everybody, you already know my name but otherwise not too much so I will just tell you a little something about myself. I am interested in many things. I enjoy reading novels a lot and love spending time with a scuba tank on my back. apart from that I love to travel and get to know new people, which led me to Couchsurfing.

I like to talk, but will not talk for talkings sake. At times I just keep on talking for what feels like hours but at others I just like to listen.
I also like cooking (cleaning up afterwards not so much though), doing sports (at times) and sometimes I'm trying myself as an author. But well I don't want to tell too much and will keep it at that...

Hoping to meet you soon,
Sarah

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel abroad and as it is always nice to know someone in the area and get to know new people I decided to check out Couchsurfing. So far I was hosted more than I hosted but am happy to accomodate people as well and show them round as best as I can (given I have the time and ebergy to do so 😋)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like many different kinds of music. Right now I prefer rock by Billy Talent, Green Day and similar interprets, but I also like pop music.

Books to me are superior to movies as they convey more content than a ninety minute film. If you compare a book to the movie the first will almost always be more detailed... Generally I like the genres science fiction, fantasy and crime best, although I occasionally tend to have a tendency towards trashy love novels...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just recently I have been to India for half a year working for 5 month and travelling another one. I got to know the Indian Railway (more intimately at times than I liked) and many major countries and fell in love with the country amd it's people.
After that I went to Australia for a year and travelled up the East Coast... by bicycle.
Then until a short while ago I was living in the Philippines, more exactly on Mactan Island where I worked as a dive instructor. For now Corona has spoiled my plans to travel on and I am stuck in good old Germany.

But I am will keep on hoping that this will be over soon so I can experience more great things 😋

Teach, Learn, Share

I love cooking so maybe we can spend some time in the kitchen (or rather around my burner which serves as a kitchen) to prepare some tasty vegetarian meals and as I love cooking and always want to extend my horizon I would be interested in learning to cook traditional meals from other countries as well. When we're done cooking we will probably share the result...

New languages always were fascinating to me and I like learning them. I am fluent in German and speak English rather fluently, so if you like learning new languages I can perhaps teach you some German.

Then finally there is the classic: Stories... about travel, meetings or life in general 😉

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to talk a lot and so I guess we could share conversations. Maybe I've been somewhere you'd like to go (although I've travelled comparably little up to now) and can share my knowledge about it with you. Also I think I've got good general and literary knowledge.
I can also share my cooking skills (at least most people told me I'm skilled at that) and prepare a nice meal for us.
