About Me

Hi I'm Sarah! I'm an Italian 20 yo au pair living in the DC area who's looking forward to visit as many places as possible and to make a lot of new friends from all over the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I registered because some friends told me that this was the best way to travel and make new friends at the same time (without running out of money ahah)

Interests

Trying to enjoy life as much as possible.
LOVE travelling, nature, photography, good food, music, acting, movies, animals, tv series.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like almost any kind of music, maybe except for gangster rap. Although my favorite genres might be classic & hard rock, metal (heavy, power, epic and lil bit of thrash) and Irish folk.
I love movies that can make me laugh, think and/or cry, they're way too many to list them, but some of my favorites are: Braveheart, the Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Quentin Tarantino's production and ALL the Batman's movie.
I enjoy reading but I'm a reeeeaaaaally slow reader and the books I recently read are: the Help, the Hobbit and Gerald's Game.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've ever done it's probably when I decided to leave everything I was used to behind to start a new life in another country and to become an au pair.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am open to learn anything! Starting from a new language to brushing horses' hair (weird example?), I'm positive that new experiences will help make my life better.
I really like cooking, and I'm quite good at it, I'm not good as a chef but I will be happy to cook you a meal that we can both(hopefully) enjoy!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to share my native language and some aspects about my culture that you may not know. I'm told to be a very good listener so if you need someone to talk to here I am! As soon as a get to know a person and gain confidence I come out of my shell and share things about my life, so I can be a talker too, and you won't have to listen to just things like "mmh", "yes", "I see" ahah
