Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I think Couchsurfing is a great way to travel and see how locals truly live while also meeting interesting people along the way. My current goal is to spend meaningful time in every prefecture in Japan. So far, I've lived in Morioka, Iwate and Nasushiobara, Tochigi. I've visited Miyagi, Fukushima, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Kyoto, Hyogo, Okayama, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, and Kagoshima. This summer I plan on traveling around Yamaguchi, Tottori, and Shimane.

Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a trained English teacher, so if you are looking for a conversation partner I can help with that, but I also just love talking about history, politics, and just about anything else. While history and politics are super important to me, my true love is food. I'm always looking for new restaurants and recipes and I would love to try new foods with someone.
What I Can Share With Hosts
Endless conversations and what life in Texas is really like. There was a surprising lack of horses.
