Overview
About Me
I'm a reformed traveler turned small business owner and community leader. I spent about 5 years all over South America, including a 3-year gig in Buenos Aires. Now I am back in my home state and I run a coworking space in New Bedford, MA, which is the coolest little city you've never been to. You can check out my coworking space here: http://newbedfordcoworking.com
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Previously as a traveler-- now I that I am settled and running my own business, I want to give back as a host. Now I get to live vicariously through you.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Mostly I've been blown away by kindness and generosity.
Interests
I love film and filmmaking (particularly documentary), cooking, yoga, most outdoor adventures (backpacking, skiing, climbing, surfing, bike travel), music (I play guitar and sing), writing and blogging, reading, and Zen practice. Most of all I love to drink mate and have a long conversation with good people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Uhhh, where to begin? Movies: J.L Goddard is my all-time hero, along with Werner Herzog. Some favorites are Fitzcarraldo, Pierrot le Fou, Zorba the Greek, Army of Shadows... I'll watch and analyize almost anything. Also I hate Tarantino and love to bust balls about it. Books: The Lone Ranger and Tanto Fistfight in Heaven, by Sherman Alexie; Money, Sex, War, and Karma by David Loy; Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind by Shynryu Suzuki Roshi; and I can read On the Road over and over again. Music: Currently playing lots of Destroyer, Fanfarlo, Andrew Bird, and Greg Brown. Favorite bands in Argentina: Mataplantas, Onda Vaga.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Filming my first documentary Tracking Patagonia was probably the greatest adventure of my life. We spent about 2 months riding bikes and floating a raft through the Aysén Region of Patagonia, basically hanging out and drinking mate with the pioneers who call that place home. I fell deeply in love with that land and I haven't been quite the same since. ( You can watch it here: www.trackingpatagonia.com)
Teach, Learn, Share
I really love New Bedford and I am deeply involved in the movement to re-energize and re-develop the city, so I want to show people a good time here. I can also take you surfing and show you how to prepare and serve a proper mate.
