CURRENT MISSION Planning the next trip ABOUT ME I have lived in France for over 30 years now, for the past 15 with my French partner Benoit who is an architect/scenographer. I am a scenic painter. My paintings are often inspired by landscapes from around the world. We like to travel with a purpose; we've been to Senegal,Ghana, Sri Lanka and the Seychelles, painting murals in schools or for NGOs, as volunteers.We travel mainly in winter; in the summer I usually have a lot of work here on stage sets. We live in a village 30km north of Nimes, (with no train station). I think we're pretty outgoing people, enjoy good food,wine, laughing, dinners with friends. We have no TV. Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Both hosting and surfing COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE We have hosted a few times, all very good experiences, and have surfed together in Italy and Australia, and I alone a couple of times too, in Italy and Cyprus. Have learnt that you sometimes need to have a plan B.

World music;African, Brazilian, Fado. Rock; Ben Harper, Springsteen, Sting,Counting Crows,Stones. Cassandra Wilson, Molly Johnson... Movies....loads Books....travel books, stories of people who have made great journeys.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Learning to scuba dive in the Seychelles;soooo beautiful! Working on an archeological dig in Peru. Seeing whales in Sri Lanka. Meeting Ben Harper at a small local blues festival.

My Interests
Art. Horses; I have one of my own; cinema; music; I play saxophone in a local band, and a little mandolin. Benoit plays congas, and snare drum.;kayaking; Scuba diving. swimming. I like to run and cycle too.
