ABOUT ME

I am generally a quiet person, but I enjoy good company and meeting new people. Just like everybody else, I spend most of my time working. But this is not bad because I love what I do. When I am not at work, I try to spend as much time as I can outdoors: hiking, backpacking, playing tennis, biking, kayaking, skiing, etc. I also enjoy cooking and sometimes bake my own bread.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In the late 1970s and 1980s, growing up in the USSR, I went on a number of backpacking and kayaking trips with my father. Most of the time we camped, but on several occasions we met people who invited us to stay with them in their homes. Many a good friendship started this way! This was my earliest couchsurfing experience, although we didn't call it couchsurfing back then.

More recently, after joining CS, I've met a few interesting couchsurfers abroad and here at home, and now, I have hosted my first CS guest! The experience has been very much worthwhile thus far.
