About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is to travel, travel, travel. I feel the most alive when I am planning a trip or taking a trip.
ABOUT ME
I am passionate about experiencing new cultures, meeting new friends, and seeing this beautiful world. I have raised three sons, encouraging them to be adventurous, curious, and kind. I am a 45 yr old female who feels a bit unexperienced in solo travel. The younger folks seem to have so much spunk, wit, and knowledge - a real joy to meet in the hostels in the past. I very much admire their ability to be tru to themselves at such a young age. I absolutely love hearing about other travelers adventures. I try to travel as much as possible and at times I still have to "talk myself into it", even though I know I can do it and will have an amazing experience. I am content being alone but very much enjoy seeing the world thru other peoples eyes. Before a trip, I typically spend hundreds (literally) of hours researching the area to be visited and then of course miss some great sites anyway!!
PHILOSOPHY
I feel a person learns more by listening than by talking all the time.
I enjoy a good debate but dislike arguments.
Be kind - always.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Europe is Amazing!! I see amazement in normal every day sights and events. Mountains, Oceans, Sunsets, Green Fields, Cathedrals, Zoo animals and Children on a playground. My 9 yr old Grandson has Cerebral Palsy. He had back surgery in late Sept to remove some nerves in hopes of learning to walk. Before the surgery, moving him was like moving a board. In the week since his surgery, his legs flop like ours!! He is now relearning to crawl. Our next step is to see him take a few first steps in a walker by Oct 28th, his 10th b-day. The skills of his Surgeon, Nurses, and Physical Therapists are truly amazing. Me traveling alone to Italy by myself for the first time in 2005 is small fries compared to one little boy's determination to walk for the first time in his life.
