CURRENT MISSION
To live with purpose...
ABOUT ME
Currently in the US, and have decided (for now) to make my home base in the quaint little Midwestern town of Edgerton, Wisconsin near Madison and Chicago, Illinois. I've got a background in sustainable business and heritage conservation, and I'm HUGE a World Heritage advocate ( maybe its biggest cheerleader). Traveling is one of my favorite things in the whole world, and I'm always plotting my next adventure.
I'm easy to get along with, love meeting new people, and have been told I'm a fun person. ;) I'll also sing a song for you on cue if you like. No joke. I'm actually in an acoustic duo called "A Tad of Sarahcha" (I'm the Sarahcha).
PHILOSOPHY
"I'm an idealist. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way..."-Carl Sandburg
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Whenever I get the chance to travel to a new place or one I've visited before, I choose to try and surf. I surf because the people I've met and experiences I've had are the richest of my life, and at the end of each of my stays, I leave having new, wonderful friends. I love it! The exchange of ideas and passions between people from all walks of life is simply a beautiful, beautiful thing made possible by this awesome project.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've made friends all over the world and been exposed to the amazing cultures of my hosts' home cities. Every experience I've had has been more than positive and I'll continue to support the CS project in anyway I can.
Interests
I love singing, art, wine, film, Indian food (who am I kidding I LOVE FOOD), and Italy. I paint, read, blog, and scrapbook when I have time.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Romance novels. It's a guilty pleasure that I allow myself. I love historical fiction and anything with a good storyline. Nora Roberts is probably my favorite author, and I would read any book about art, research included. I've recently started to delve deeper into yogic teachings, and that tends to be where my spirituality feels the most prosperous.
I love movies. Period. Some favorites include: The Shawshank Redemption, Under the Tuscan Sun, Gladiator, The Notebook, anything with Will Ferrill, A Good Year, Saving Private Ryan, etc. etc. and on and on. Me + film = love. I am also a fan of basically any music but heavy metal, though I'm open to listening to favorites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Deciding to move to Europe in 2007. Best decision I ever made.
Teach, Learn, Share
Never lose your childhood ambitions. You really can be anything you want to be. No one has the same story as you -- yours is your own to make. There is no right decision or wrong decision -- only different ones.
