Overview
About Me
“People never seemed to notice that, by saving time, they were losing something else. No one cared to admit that life was becoming ever poorer, bleaker and more monotonous. The ones who felt this most keenly were the children, because no one had time for them any more. But time is life itself, and life resides in the human heart. And the more people saved, the less they had.”
― Michael Ende, Momo
Trying to live life without getting entangled in stress and greed while enjoying it's little wonders.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
living is giving, sharing is caring.
Interests
the beauty in small little things:
hammocks
bonfires with good friends
tea with honey and coffee breaks
(barfoot) walks without destinations
having breakfast when you know the day is long and you have no fixed plans
ice cream
unexpected surprises
sunrises, sunsets and full moon (i mean seriously, there is nothing that simple and beautiful happening out there that still fascinates me every single damn time i look at it)
noticing how a place is more and more becoming home when I am somewhere new

Music, Movies, and Books
books: i love the old german literature like Hermann Hesse and Bertold Bercht. The unbearable lightness of being (Milan Kundera) is great. i also really like children's books (Momo & Pippi Longstocking!!), plays, fairytales. and short stories. And i love to read aloud and together with other's.
movies: some that come to my mind now: oh boy. Das Leben ist schön. Into the wild. her. i like documentaries that experiment with the border between fiction and reality.
music: folk/indie/alternative/Reggae/hip hop /trip hop/rock/jazz/swing/soul/electro a little bit of everything else.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One was hitchhiking with a good friend all the way over Budapest to Istanbul, across serbia, hungary, bulgaria, greece, italy and back home to Germany...because experiences like these increase my faith in the kindness of people everywhere, despite all the shit that is happening in this world. We just came across so many open arms and hearts.
