CURRENT MISSION Life should be simple and natural - striving that for ourselves and those we encounter ABOUT ME We now live in Waunakee, Wisconsin. Scott is a Mechanical Engineer for a product development consulting firm, a member of the local Rotary Club and a former volunteer firefighter. Ann is an artist, working with blown and carved glass. She is a Middle-Eastern dancer and has taught classes. Ann also is a former volunteer firefighter, which is how we met, being on the same fire department. We have new additions to our family, twins that were born in January 2014. It is certainly keeping us busy. PHILOSOPHY Always be kind. Respecting nature and the world around us.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING We look forward to hosting visitors in our home and learning from their experiences. Also looking forward to making new friends while travelling. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Beyond "unofficial" couchsurfing over the years, we couchsurfed on our trips to Ireland, Germany, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and others, and have hosted a few people so far.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Scott: Skydiving, swimming with dolphins, visiting the "witch's tower" in Budingen, Germany where my ancestor hung herself after accused of being a witch and was tortured. Both: Zip-lining in Costa Rica, taking part in a Mayan fire ceremony

My Interests
We enjoy the outdoors and connecting with nature. Hiking, camping, canoeing. Gardening. Plays and musicals. A nice motorcycle ride. Playing with our dogs. Understanding why things are the way they are. Discussing social issues.
