About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To do, see, and be many things in as little time as possible.

ABOUT ME

I'm always adventuring, mostly witg my dog. Camera in hand, there's always something to photograph! I'm in Los Angeles to shoot as much as I can

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a dozen or so people here and there, mostly people I had met in other cities.

As for surfing, I have been afforded a fantastic travel repertoire due to CS. I can't even imagine most of my travel experiences without the people I met off this site. I hope to bring a little piece of Canada with me whenever I wander this earth and maybe a bit of art and music, if I'm lucky!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met a wide array of really awesome people through couch surfing. From the outright weirdest conversation I've ever had to adventures that were completely unexpected. I've made friends from the USA, Germany, The Republic of and Northern Ireland, Scotland, England, Canada, Australia and I'm sure plenty of others! I've wandered cities with strangers that turned to friends, I've given haircuts in parks, I've taken pictures on mountain tops, and even gotten drunk on some statues of hockey players in Montreal once. This website has offered me so much and all I want is to contribute as much as humanly possible!

Music, Movies, and Books

I always leave these boxes empty because I feel that if I start, I won't stop. The easiest way to put it is that I with listen to, watch and read almost anything, given the right environment/mood for that style.

With music, I'll just say that I love all types of metal, most types of punk, a lot of hardcore, and so much rock and roll, it's a bit silly. Don't get me wrong, though, I listen to other styles of music, from electronic to classical, but as I mentioned, it's dependent upon environment and mood, which also goes along with the company.

Whenever I meet new people, I prefer listening to their music before I play anything of mine. I have a few reasons for this. First of all, I like to gauge their favourite style, and then I can mentally search my repertoire for something they may like. Second, I get to listen to music that I might not have heard before, which is always fun for me. It also gives me a glimpse into that individual's personality.

Movies are sort of an addiction for me. I'll watch almost anything. Comedies are usually at the top of my list because I LOVE to laugh. Dramas, action movies, murder-mysteries, old movies, new movies... I really don't care! With TV, I'm a lot more picky. Even though the one episode might be shorter, I find it more of a commitment to continue to watch any given series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oh man, how do you choose? I feel like life is a constant flow of awesome experiences, with some other bits thrown in here or there.

I guess most of the epic moments of my life have involved a live music festival. One of the best was watching Tenacious D at Sasquatch! Music Festival in Washington in one of the most beautiful places in the world, the Gorge Amphitheater. Tenacious D played right at sunset and as the colors in the sky multiplied and the sun faded behind the gorge and the river below, it was unbelievably breath-taking. Then you have Jack Black and Kyle Gass making glorified dick and fart jokes along to music. I can't say much tops that!

Although, meeting my favourite band at Leeds Fest in England at 17 comes close, or even getting tattooed by the singer of that band 3 years later in London, just a couple days after he quit the band.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm all about sharing information and fun! I'm a photographer, so I can take pictures of you / things that you enjoy and give them to you. I also do hair, so if you need a haircut or a color change, I can also assist! Music jams are also always fun, although my passion far surpasses my ability! I also love making art in most mediums, so depending on what's available, I'll find a way to create something if I feel so inspired. If you're a crafty person as well, I'm sure we can kill many hours gluing things to each other or painting or anything else!
