ABOUT ME

I'm gay. You don't have to be, but just so you know. I recently quit my job and went back to school. Studying for an M.A. in International Communications at American University. Having surfers from time to time seems like a good idea.

*Tip about getting Hosted: I'm better with last-minute or within a week requests than months in advance. I hate to have something come up and have to cancel. Also, not required, but offering me alcohol is a really good strategy for securing a couch. I tend to host more often if I always have cheap liquor stored but don't have to pay for it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host, and every once in a while, I get to go out and surf. I'm pretty introverted and use CS to shake things up a little. That said, I probably wont want to show you around DC. As a local, that stuff is really boring to me! I can point you in the right direction though.

Nature, science, funny stuff, cute animals, people from places where I haven't hosted anyone from yet.

Musica, film e libri

I like action, comedy and drama movies. I love reading and I'm also a children's book author. My first book, Aching and Praying, was published on 4/11/11. My favorite rappers are Jay Z and Eminem, my favorite band is Nirvana and my favorite singer is Amy Winehouse. I love music in general.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I've fought wild fires in Virginia, tutored kids in South Carolina, helped build houses with Habitat in Florida (all in AmeriCorps). My favorite place in America is New Orleans. If you've got the time while you're here, I seriously suggest it.

Great conversation. I'm humorous and random. And I wish Eskimo Kisses were more widespread. It's really a cool (or warm?) way of greeting people.
