About Me
So I'm Sean grew up in Belgium to an Irish mum and moved to Barcelona after several years in Germany.
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.'”
Up until I was 21 I had never been anywhere except Belgium and Ireland, one summer I had three weeks off from work and decided to hitchhike in the eastern direction. It took me all the way to eastern Poland with a few days in Berlin, my life only started at that point and I moved there a few years later.
After 6 years I got a little fed up with the city and joined some friends in Barcelona, it all started with kindness and hospitality of strangers and since then whenever I have the time I feel the urge to move, I simply can not sit around and need to be on the road as much as possible.
HOSTING:
I've used CS on and off since 2015, as I'm not sharing a flat anymore I also started hosting
While I'm flexible there's a few things I would like to point out:
1) I am an LGBTQI+ ally, while straight this is important to know. If your point of view differs but you are respectful I can consider your request as I think it's also important to connect with people who see things in other ways.
2) I am an atheist but I will host religious people from all denominations.
3) I'm also a smoker, this could put people off. I would never smoke in someone else's home if it's not ok but I will at my own place. Only cigarettes but 420 friendly.
4) Both last minute and advance requests are welcome but I'm overwhelmed by messages sometimes, give it a shot and let's see if this works!
5) I understand this is not a dating app, girls are more than welcome and I would like to consider my flat a safe space.
6) Finally my street is in the very centre of Barcelona, it's great if you want to be close to everything but gets noisy. Despite the fact my apartment itself is calm it can feel intimidating or a bit shady outside.
If you want to see and feel what real Barcelona is like away from the touristy parts it's great though.
Otherwise I don't have too many rules, the indications above are to give you an idea of what to expect and who I am before you ask.
If you're ok with it I'll be happy to hear from you!
