I am a so called scanner personality with a widely-spread interested mind. That’s what makes it somewhat hard for me to focus on one project at a time 😅

I love nature, especially the ocean and animals of every kind. That’s also a reason why I stopped eating them, a couple of years ago.

Especially different cultures, their beliefs and their food is what I want to discover on my journeys. And of course other people’s stories about traveling and their life in general.

Somehow the spiritual path managed to find me about 5 years ago and I am very thankful for having at least this one constant position in my life.

Now I’m really doing it! Trying out the nomad lifestyle

My profession: besides doing research for the government, I worked in Germany as a Coach for young people who want to grow personally (Mind, Body & Soul).
Now I am doing it remotely.

Also, my wonderful Indonesian wife and I run a couple of start up businesses from home:

• we sell ZeroWaste Lifestyle products and home made floor cleaner, soaps and shampoo bars

• we run a little accommodation business

My wife also works for Trash Hero Indonesia / Trash Hero World as a Program Manager for SE Asia.

And I love Networking (connecting with others and also connecting others with each other 😆)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard it is the best way to get in touch with friendly and helpful people when traveling and they oftentimes become lifelong friends. (True so far)
Another great advantage is that you get to know the best insider tips and can learn very much from your hosts. That’s at least what I discovered with my first two hosts.

Interests

I practice meditation, am interested in sports and do some workout. I like cooking, and especially eating my wife‘s Indonesian dishes 🤤 ...Yoga, hearing people’s stories and so much more... not to forget surfing - although I am a bloody rookie, I really love it!
