Overview
About Me
I'm Selene, an Italian living in Boston, MA. I was born and raised in the hills close to Venice, Italy - a land famous for its wine (Prosecco), food and history. I studied at the university of Venice and after that moved to Milan, Italy for 4 years, where I started my first job. In early 2020 I moved to Munich, Germany and I am now based in the Boston, MA to pursue my career.
I am passionate about many things - most notably dogs and wine - but learning people's stories and a country's history is what really moves me to travel. You will always find me with a guidebook under my arm, studying the history of the places I am visiting, but there is nothing better than hearing it from you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am eager to be part of a community of people brought together by the same values of hospitality and sharing. I believe that the world is made of fundamentally good, decent people and I want to meet as many as I can and hear all of your life stories.

Music, Movies, and Books
I confess, I am an avid pop-music consumer. I think music should make me happy and dance in the kitchen and I am a 90s kid. If it's trashy, if it's cheesy, if it's nostalgic, if it's Taylor - I love it.
I am a huge movies and TV shows fan - I have watched about 1,200+ movies and 8700+ TV episodes. Some of my favorites are:
The Shining - Stanley Kubrick
Nocturnal Animals - Tom Ford
The Favourite - Yorgos Lanthimos
Birdman - Alejandro Inarritu
Fleabag
Peaky Blinders
Game of Thrones
Breaking Bad
Chernobyl
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hiked in the jungle for 4 hours, sat face to face and looked in the eyes of mountain gorillas in Uganda.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am glad to share any knowledge I might have about food, wine, languages, history and cultures with you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As a good italian, my kigdom is the kitchen - I have a talent for scrapping up a decent meal with whatever I can find in a fridge and I will be more than happy to cook as well as learn some local recipes from you if you want :-) I have a disproportionate love for dogs and pets in general so your furry friends will be guaranteed non-stop cuddles too!
