About Me

Hey! I am a traveller from New Orleans and I currently live in Rio de Janeiro. I have a passion for travelling, learning about different cultures and learning languages. My goal is to eventually travel to all of the countries in the world but my before that I am excited to travel to all of the South American countries. We only have one life and we have to live full and happy lives and travelling is the best cure for everything. I like to be challenged to learn about new cultures and languages and to push myself more and more out of comfort zone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchersurfer because I I love the ideology of exchanging experiences and knowledge with peopel while you travel and to offer that for other people as well. Travelling allowed me to see the world and I always learn something new every time I travel. I would like to see more people have this experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - for dancing (dancehall, hip hop, pop, forro, salsa, bachata, trap, coupé décalé and house) for working (jazz, classical, soul, r & b, and brazilian rock). What type of music is popular in your country?

Movies - This is a conversation to have personally. I really like movies and its's hard to think of just a few. I really like the directors like Spike Lee, Lars von Tier, Almodovar, Issac Julien and many more. What are some famous films from your country?

Books- I love books and probably one of my favorite things to talk about. I go through phases where I read more fiction than non-fiction and vice-versa. I love books about history, languages, culture, politics, economy and even the sciences. I love learning new things and really open to new ways of seeing the world and books are a great to do that. Also I think it is amazing how reading a biography or autobiography can put years of experience into one book. Right now my favorite author is Octavia Butler. What are some famous books written by authors of your country?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked at a hostel in Rio de Janeiro so I can write a book about travelling experiences ;)
