Overview
About Me
I'm not sure that it's worth anything to write about myself further than the basics, so I will just say that I am a lazy brain trapped in an active man's body. Constantly find myself doing activities even though the couch sounds so appealing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a great way to have a perspective change through direct immersion in another person's life and social circles.
Interests
I'm a big fan of getting too involved in a new hobby till friends and family are tired of listening about it. The hobby itself doesn't matter too much though.
Music, Movies, and Books
Reading: Catch 22, Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Going After Cacciato, Waiting For Godot
Movies: Blade Runner, The Big Lebowski, There Will Be Blood, Four Lions, Fooly Cooly, Porco Rosso, Redline (2009)
Audio: Anything goes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took a solo, cross-country, motorcycle trip across the United States in 2009 (with the help of some generous couch surfing hosts of course). The people I met were very open with me and it was easy to skip the cliches of conversation and have more meaningful conversations about our experiences. The time riding alone though also let me hear my own voice instead of the opinions of others and helped me understand what I value.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm pretty full of myself, so you will probably have a good time laughing at my narcissm? I can also cook for you and I have some great stories to share. Of course I'll pitch in for food and activities too!
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Finland, Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Ukraine
Countries I’ve Lived In
Russian Federation, United States
