I live on a Vancouver Island in Canada and I'm heading to L.A. for a few days for work and play! I formerly lived on an 88 acre land cooperative on a rural Island in the pacific northwest of Canada. I have two sons, 16 and 11 yrs old. We've lived off the grid while building our home out of strawbales and cob. I am a certified wilderness guide, but my primary job right now is working as a childbirth educator & doula.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Before I had children I traveled often, and I love returning the kindness and welcoming spirit that I received from people opening their homes up to me. I still love to travel, and often do so for my doula work (being on call for births), to attend conferences and workshops.
