ABOUT ME

My wife, kids, and I live in a beautiful, hilly area near Haifa, Israel.

I enjoy being around people, hearing and telling stories, joking around, and having fascinating conversations (but what is deeper than laughter?) I love making music and hiking! I enjoy writing, reading, cooking, and fixing/improving things.

If I were a caveman, I'd be a tool-maker, scout, trapper, and gatherer. I love being in a forest or playing in the waves. I love dogs as long as they notice when jumping on my smaller kids makes them overwhelmed and uncomfortable. Cats are also awesome, but I spent most of my college days sneezing from living with them (it was worth it, though).

PHILOSOPHY

Be as aware and as good as I can, and forgive mistakes, but notice patterns...make good from whatever is available. Listen, be kind, be respectful, have fun!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Lately, it's been unrealistic and hard to travel. We used to travel more before the kids. We would be happy to host people who don't mind family noise, and that the spare room is also my office.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It was a wonderful way to travel and get to know people. I also love WWOOFing - spending time outdoors doing good physical work for a few hours, learning sustainable living, and getting to know locals and travelers wherever we go.
