Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Haven't surfed in a while. Back in Maine can host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Finding Larry in Arizona and staying at his veritable mansion 2 days after I even heard of couchsurfing was like dying and going to couch surfing heaven. If there is a King of CS, Larry Streech is he. As long as surf, (which by the way I feel like I have lost 5 years of my life for not discovering this world earlier)I cannot imagine finding a kinder, cooler, more accomodating host than Larry. His place is an immaculate town house with like seemingly endless bedrooms. He has 3 of the cutest most adorable kids you will ever find period. Then, when you think that it can not possibly get any better you discover that this is some sort of CS paridise- where like a CS ALl-Star team resides- yes there are like 5 other surfers that Larry hosts- it's like a hostel, in that sense, without the insane-asylum feel. Larry is like the Mother Theresa of hosts, as well, as he picked me up from across the city, drove me around and took me around all weekend. I woke up to find a 4 course breakfast waiting for me. I don't say all of this to put expectations on Larry, but to prepare the visitor beforehand to bring a gift or something- like you were staying with a good friend or family member.
Larry, you are the man and I feel like I have met a friend for life. Can't wait to see you on other trips and especially in Maine so I can return the favor.
