ABOUT ME

Hey! I'm a free-spirited 1st generation American. My parents are from Bangladesh/Myanmar and Pakistan. I try to take everything I do seriously, and myself not too seriously at all. I'm fascinated with the way globalization and the internet can facilitate learning for future generations and ours. I believe the best learning happens through diverse collaboration. I wake up everyday wanting to learn something new. Goofy, yet cerebral at times.

I really enjoy conversations with other like minded people, or even non-likeminded people just to see what's all in this giganticly itty bitty world. There's always something to learn. Whenver I travel, I pack very light, and plan options for things to do that many times become second to impromptu adventures such as riding 4 wheelers on the beach in the rain or a house party with the college kid who works at the local liquor store. Places intrigue me more than things. People intrigue me more than places. And desserts sometimes supersede them all.

Photography is a hobby of mine, as well as music. Always up to go on shoots or a place with live music!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had my first CS experience in New Delhi where I met with a CSer who invited me to a family dinner, a fashion designer's house party, and took me on a crazy motorcycle ride through the streets of Delhi. Great conversations and experiences, and affirms the belief in the goodness of genuine nature of people across time and space.

Visit the streets and neighborhood where my mother was raised in Bangladesh. What a world apart from what I knew before.

I love tea, particularly pure teas. I can share and teach you about different types of tea and their healing properties, as well as food from the Earth. I also know a little bit of photography.
