Hi! My name is Shandi Newman, I am 26 years old and from Vancouver Island in Canada. I have always lived a very free sprited and adventerous life which has led me on many amazing adventures in the past. I love meeting new people and exploring and just living the fullest life I can while I am young :)

Although I have just re joined couchsurfing I have used this website before in my travels and absolutley love it! I hope my lack of references does not worry you as I am just starting a new adventure and slowley my profile will be full of new experiences.

I did a solo cross Canada trip about 5 years ago and couch surfed the entire way and met so many amazing people and had so much fun. I am planning to do a trip like this again soon in Europe and I think couch surfing is the best way!

My trip across Canada solo was the most lifechanging experience I have ever had. Sometimes you need to drop everything and detatch yourself from the real world for a moment and do something amazing and extraordinary to really appreciate everything again. I met so many genuine, beautiful people it really was something I will never forget.
