COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, we have only "officially" couch surfed with one kiwi in the Northland of New Zealand. He was kind enough to invite us along to a birthday party for one of his coworkers.

Of course, I have slept on many friends couches over the years, and similarly had friends come to stay on my couches. It is strange to me when you are not invited into someone's home.

An amazing thing to see while flying into New Zealand was the northern tip of the North Island. How neat it was to see that first sign of land after a few hours in the air.

Learning how to bake bread in a commercial setting has been interesting. Now it's time to try and relate that experience to practical, everyday baking.
