About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Adventure awaits.
ABOUT ME
I'm a Jacksonville, Florida native seeking adventure. I want to see the world ( I think I am off to a good start but there is so much to see!) I've almost been to every state in the US, three months in Europe, a few months in Peru and Brazil. I love nature, people and animals (snakes not included).
My friends are very dear to me and I live by a motto that my family are those people that I hold in my heart.
I'm a real estate broker and own my own business. I've been working in Real Estate for over 20 years now and love it; but, I would also like a change. I graduated from UNF with my degree in nutrition and dietetics with a minor in public health. Part of the nutrition program was learning culinary skills so i am a fairly good cook. Thus, I enjoy cooking and entertaining (though I usually make a very, very big mess).
PHILOSOPHY
Live, laugh, love and dance!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The reason I am choosing to couch surf is because I do a lot of traveling alone. Although I enjoy it, it is sometimes nice to have the company of a local who is open and interested in making a human connection and sharing their personal culture and the culture of where they live.
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted people traveling to Jacksonville and in Venice, Italy. I have friends all over the world and they are always welcome. I like to spend some time and make friends with those that I host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only couched in Ft. Lauderdale and Tampa but I've done a lot of AirBnB while in Europe.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like comedies, dramas and thrillers and I enjoy plays and musicals (on or off Broadway). I have always been a 3D buff too. EDM is my fave but I have been known to sing (off key of course) a ballad or two. I read mostly technical books and "how to do books" because I have varied interest; but, sadly, I rarely read for entertainment... I am usually living it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Machu Picchu, pretty amazing. But I suppose the most amazing thing I have done is the giving of myself to others in order to better mankind.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't want to ever stop learning and I love to share knowledge and experience with others. I am a former public speaker and junior achievement instructor... and in college I developed a 3rd grade nutrition education program that was implemented at Junior Achievement.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I really enjoy getting to know people and learning about other cultures as well as sharing. I hope that my hosts will consider sharing some time with me to become friends. I like to share a lunch, dinner or cocktails, at my expense, for the generosity.
