About Me

I'm in a phase of life called "parenting young children." Ha! It's awesome! And ridiculously hard at times. I'm SO glad I have a husband who love love loves his kids and spends time with them. We have no pets, mostly because we're renting our home right now and would have to pay pet fees, but I yearn to have goats and chickens one day so I can produce (and consume) goat meat, goat milk, chicken meat and chicken eggs. Ducks would be awesome too. Also, our family attends a Messianic Jewish congregation that we LOVE. You'd be welcome to visit if you're curious!

There's more to me than mothering, would-be farming and our awesome congregation, but that's at least something to go on. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

On the traveling side: I would rather hang out with people than book hotels. (Partially because of money, partially for the people. Cheap travel and new friends - both are favorites.)

On the hosting side: I would love to make new friends and help people save money.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmm. I shared cookies with the elderly neighbors down the street. It was pretty amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Wanna know about cloth diapering? Homeschooling? Household management? Budgeting? Connecting with God? I have some experience . . . SOME.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Intense listening skills. :) I love to hear others' stories. I can share my adorable, random, creative kids too. They're awesome. And I can make food: some of my common recipes are bombdiggity potato soup, Mexican meatloaf, chicken tikka masala or rosemary chicken.
