Overview
About Me
I'm from Saskatoon, SK but find myself living with my folks so I can save up some money. I'm recently going through some major life transitioning (like just getting out of a long term relationship), and am rebuilding this new awesome life. I'm a very down to earth, real sort of girl and I do not shy away from things that need to be said. I would rather have a real conversation than small talk.
I am free at heart and love traveling and meeting new people.
Oh yah, I also spin poi so if you're a flowmie, let's jam!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because this platform is one of the coolest ways to meet people. It's easy to plan trips and you get to see a side of the hosts city/town that you may have never got to see otherwise. Plus it helps that it's free.
I've really enjoyed hosting in the past because I had a new found appreciation for my hometown and had fun showing people around. That and it's nice to live vicariously though those that are traveling.
Interests
I'm a creative person and I enjoy sewing, knitting, crocheting, hemping, writing, costume making, playing with Fimo, and taking pictures.
Writing/journaling is my own self therapy.
I really dig photography and hope to further my skills and perhaps incorporate it into a career.
I absolutely love dancing. I'm a raver! Dancing is the ultimate meditation as one is continually in the moment. When I am dancing, my spirit is singing.
I love camping and spending time outdoors! I especially love sitting around a camp fire.
I am fascinated with people and different cultures.
I enjoy drinking coffee/tea/wine/beer with good company (or perhaps with myself), riding bikes, reading, going on friend dates and curling up with a nice kitty while watching a movie.
I'm learning how to play the Mandolin and guitar. I can rock the Jew's (mouth) harp!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm definitely a movie person and have plenty of favorites. I tend to like drama's, comedy and independent films.
I am open to most musical genres such as, psychedelic rock, electronic, indie, blues, instrumental, intelligent hip-hop, alternative... etc.
I love reading. I haven't been reading too regularly lately, but once I get into a book it's hard for me to put it down.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went backpacking with my best friend, Mandy, to Victoria, Salt Spring, and Van all in one week. It was a wonderful and magical experience. I am in love with the ocean.
In Ucluelet, BC I saw purple and orange star fish.
Shambhala 2009 and 2011.
I food vended at 4 different folk festivals in BC, and Alberta during the summer of 2011. We were called the Nomad's Kitchen.
One of my eye opening experiences was going to Ness Creek for the first time, summer 2006: http://www.nesscreek.com/
Went on a Southern Caribbean cruise and drove across Puerto Rico with some friends 2012. I met a some baby monkeys and it was one of the happiest days of my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach how to knit/hemp jewelry. I have taught a friend how to ride a bike.
I can share tips on photography and simple know how when it comes to camera settings.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like cooking, I'm fairly crafty, I give good back rubs, I love creative collaborations (I like singing-- if you make beats I would be so down to record something), and most of all I love sharing laughs and connections with awesome people.
I have a very good knack for attracting amazing human beings, so I have faith that my hosts will be fantastic!
