HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I'm always ready to make new friends and show people around my city or any city that I'm familiar with! I have a spare bedroom with two beds in it as long as you don't mind sharing the space with my pet snake! COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Though I've certainly slept on a lot of couches in a lot of places, I've never "couch surfed". I look forward to my first official experience this winter. The coolest couch I've ever slept on was at a friend's cottage situated in the middle of a rubber tree plantation in a forest in northern Kerala. I remember reaching at night and trekking through a .5 km muddy path to arrive. Bright blue glow worms illuminated our path and were our only source of light on the trek. I woke up the next morning to the sound of wild peacocks.

I've been blessed with some great experiences in some pretty amazing places. I've danced countless nights away as an exchange student in Sao Paulo Brazil. Swam in caves and played with monkeys in the jungles of Mexico, taught kids how to speak like a New Yorker in Southern India, watched America vs Canada hokey game in Vancouver during the winter Olympics! We'll swap adventures over a beer one day!
