About Me
Hi friends,
I grew up in Iran and moved to the United States when I was a teenager, where I lived for eight years. Recently, I started graduate school in Norway, studying Development, Environment, and Cultural Change (I know it's a handful).
My main sports are running, biking, yoga, and skiing, I can also play Squash and Tennis. I am a relatively calm person, who likes to read philosophy (Plato is my favorite philosopher), and long-form journalism. I'm pretty big on podcasts and audiobooks, happy to exchange recommendations!
When I visit somewhere new, I like to start with exploring nature, wandering around town to orient myself, and then visiting the national history and art museums. Though I primarily eat vegetarian food, I'm also somewhat of a 'foodie', and eager to try new stuff. A big fan of coffee and beer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Some of the most memorable times that I've had while traveling has been with my hosts and other travelers I've met. There's nothing like sharing food and conversations with my fellow comrades!
Interests
My favorite hobbies include photography, sports, reading, cooking, and exploring philosophies of life (Stoicism, Cynicism, Zen Buddism, etc).
