Overview
About Me
On 8th March, 2018, I met Lars Krieger (https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/2002896141) at Zero40 Brewery in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. I was meeting friends at Zero40, Lars and I had been in conversation for a day about potentially meeting up. I thought, that since we would be in a group, it would be safe to ask him to meet me at a bar.
The night went decently. Lars spoke to all my friends, we had a nice time. On the way out, I booked an Uber and Lars asked me if I could drop him off at his hotel (Taj Banjara, Banjara Hills Road#1). I said yes, as that would fall on my way home from Jubilee Hills.
Inside the taxi, Lars grabbed the back of my head and tried to kiss me. When I resisted, he grabbed my hair and stuck my head against the car seat 3-4 times. He grabbed my hand, and tried to pull me towards him. Then, he held my head again and tried to push it towards his lap.
I was functionally impaired, and in shock. The cab driver said nothing.
Lars was dropped off at the hotel, and I went home.
The next morning, he sent me a voice recording of him masturbating, on Whatsapp.
My reports about this to Couchsurfing have gone un-addressed.
I refuse to delete my CS account, as some well-wishers have suggested I do. I have found close friends because of Couchsurfing, and I refuse to keep myself out of another space for the fear of a man.
My intention with writing this on my profile is multi-fold:
- I hope people who message me on here can understand why I am particular, and perhaps, sometimes defensive and guarded.
- I hope that someone on Couchsurfing will see this, and for once, do something about it.
- I hope no other human being is subjected to this treatment at the hands of someone they trusted enough to spend an evening with.
