About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Raisng daughters. Teaching. Experiencing as much as I can!

ABOUT ME

I am a fifth grade science teacher in suburbia Houston. I travel as often as I can and have been VERY resourceful AND fortunate AND lucky to have been so many cool places.

I have three daughters. My oldest, 26, is also a teacher. My little ones,15 and 16, and just easy girls who love swimming and playing. They are up for an adventure at any time!

PHILOSOPHY

Love is always the answers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love the philosophy of couch surfing. As soon as I hear of the concept, I was IN. It completely fits my philosophy of how life should be! Meeting people, sharing cultures, and gaining friends.

I don't live in a HOT spot, but I am very open to hosting. I love it. My home is open. I have a HUGE couch, a pool, two little girls (and one off at college). I live in the suburbs of Houston with lots of trees and trails.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couch surfing experience was in Paris with my two daughters. I've hosted several times for a night here and there. I couch surfed with a wonderful lady in South Harlem while I was in NYC. While I was speaking at a National Science Conference, I surfed in Baltimore. Last year three daughters and I couch surfed with a wonderful couple in Marathon, Greece. I now consider them family!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been very fortunate and resourceful so have traveled extensively.

Teach, Learn, Share

I taught ESL for six years at a college. Some day I'd LOVE to live in another country and trade teaching for living!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love practicing my Spanish and helping with English. I am a great listener and love learning about life around the world. We would love to bring coffee or goodies from Texas.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Switzerland
