About Me

ABOUT ME

I've grown up living on a boat, which pretty much lead me on my path to go to the Merchant Marine Academy. Now that my time there has finally come to a close, I am off on my own working my dream job aboard one of the most advanced tankers in the American fleet with the nation's most highly regarded shipping company. So far its all worked out when it comes to employment and the whole real world, real job aspect of life. But to be completely honest... all that is a bonus. Besides loving the ocean and all things associated, the biggest benefit of this job is the schedule. Working 60 days in a row gives me the opportunity to have 60 days off, all to myself. Thats when the rest of the dream materializes. I've loved traveling for as long as i can remember. Whenever i have even just a week or two off, you can find me packing up and heading to the airport, the train station or even the bus terminal. At the moment, I'm still going at it, living each day as it comes.

PHILOSOPHY

Be good to others, not because it's expected but because it your preference.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Finally out of school and ready to start a long awaited road trip through central america. I'm hoping to meet surfers along the way, crashing on couches, camping out in their driveway, giving rides along the way, and hosting once i get back home (whenever that may be)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haven't officially surfed a couch yet, but I did get to meet a surfer for a concert in NYC once.

Interests

The Ocean, The Mountains, and Cities. Its the balance that makes life complete for me.

Music, Movies, and Books

To be honest.... there isn't much i don't like. If its something I am not familiar with i like to think i would give the benefit of the doubt. Who knows, up until 6 months ago i hadn't listened to a full country song ever... Now, whenever I'm on my way to a training or heading back from the ship and crossing through the middle of nowhere, I am singing along to nearly every country song on the radio.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Why don't we meet up and talk about it? Its all relative i suppose, but i would say working aboard the largest ships in the world and traveling across nearly every ocean along the way is a good place to start.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Belgium, China, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Mexico, Oman, Pakistan, Panama, Spain, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom
