Staying with locals while travelling gives a better experience. I don't have a house of my own hence can't be a host. Not yet.

Umm...very difficult to choose.
But if I really had to choose a book, it would be Dune series by Frank Herbert and The Broken Ties by Rabindranath Tagore. I am currently reading Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman.
That depends on what you find 'amazing'. In my eyes, nothing that I have done is amazing.
