ABOUT ME

My name is Nicola. I like to snowboard, cross-country ski, mountain bike, read, travel, take photos, laugh, lounge, explore, play ukulele/guitar, drink red wine... oh the list could go on! I'm so very interested in other languages, people, culture, ideas... talk to me.

I am living in the amazing and beautiful town of Nelson, BC. My roommate and I are studying at Selkirk College and are on our summer break at the moment. I'm working at a restaurant/pub in town. On my days off I'm exploring on my mountain bike, finding new places to hike, or beaches to lounge on.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have heard so many people speak passionately about the CS community. I was only a listener in the beginning, not having surfed before, but now I am able to speak with as much passion thanks to the wonderful experiences and opportunities I've had.

I haven't had many opportunities to host, so here I am again! New place in Nelson, new awesome roommate, and a decent futon for you to sleep on.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Each CS experience so far has been fantastic. There have been times where I look around, feeling so content, taking everything in, and think, "I wouldn't be here right now if it weren't for CS."

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

AH! Lived in the Philippines for a year... that was eye-opening and absolutely amazing. I was so lucky to see so many beautiful things in that country.

I lived in the Netherlands for almost a year too. I played on a women's soccer team, worked in a pub, landscaped, then travelled some of Europe.

Hiked Mt. Kinabalu in Malaysia-Borneo.

I would love to learn how to surf well one day!
I want to play guitar well too... I found a ukulele while traveling in Indonesia and have learned some things on there. Love playing both of them... still need lots of practice though!

I can teach you how to snowboard, pass a soccer ball, speak some Tagalog... juggle... you can just ask me... I may know more. Ha.
