About Me

Hi, my name is Abdelouahed and I'm a 25-year-old from Casablanca, Morocco. I have a master's degree program in Geomatics Applied to Geosciences and the Environment, which specializes in GIS. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new places, trying different foods, and meeting new people. I'm also a big fan of music and love going to concerts and festivals whenever I can

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing because I believe that traveling is not just about seeing new sights, but also about connecting with people from different backgrounds and cultures. As someone who enjoys meeting new people, Couchsurfing provides a unique opportunity to do just that. I'm excited to open up my home to travelers and learn more about their experiences, as well as share my own. I hope to create lasting friendships and memories through this platform.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have an eclectic taste in music, but some of my favorite genres include opera, rock, and traditional Moroccan music like Tarabe Andalossi and Gnawa. Some of my favorite composers include Verdi and Puccini. When it comes to movies, I'm a big fan of historical epics like Gladiator and period dramas that showcase different cultures and societies. Some of my other favorite films include The Shawshank Redemption, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and Parasite. As for books, I love reading about history, philosophy, and travel. Some of my favorites include The Tao of Physics by Fritjof Capra, The Odyssey by Homer, and A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I've done was hike to the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. As someone with a Bachelor's degree in fundamental studies of earth and Universe Sciences and a love for geology, I was particularly captivated by the unique geological formations and rock formations that I encountered along the way. The hike was challenging but incredibly rewarding, with breathtaking views of the surrounding Atlas Mountains. At the top, I felt a sense of accomplishment and awe at the natural beauty of Morocco. It was an experience that reminded me of the power of nature and the importance of pushing myself outside of my comfort zone.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm passionate about sharing my knowledge and skills with others, and I enjoy helping people learn new things. I'm fluent in English and have a strong command of Arabic and French, and I would love to teach these languages to those who are interested. Additionally, I'm eager to learn new things, and I'm currently interested in expanding my language skills by learning German.
Beyond language learning, I believe that sharing experiences and learning from others is one of the most valuable ways to grow and develop as a person. Despite my young age, I have mastered several skills through my studies and personal pursuits, including bodybuilding. I'm always happy to share my experiences and insights with others, and I'm equally eager to learn from the experiences and insights of others. Through teaching, learning, and sharing, I believe we can create a more open and connected world where we can all grow and thrive together.
