About Me
CURRENT MISSION: I'm working on a theatre documentary project on the war in Donbas currently, with a few friends. So I'm collecting inspiration and knowledge...
ABOUT ME: I do research in higher education, how universities teach and stuff like that. I fancy theatre and music, both passively and actively.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Actually, I don't like travelling so much, at least not the tourist way of it - sight-seeing, cherry-picking, watching the place from the outside, seeing the same face of the city as everyone else who comes for a day or two... But I enjoy to see how people live there, how they perceive the places I visit, what they laugh about and what they struggle with. That's what I expect Couchsurfing to give me.
It's been quite some time since the last time I couch-surfed. But it was a great experience back then and I hope it's going to be so again.
Interests
I like theatre and in particular the modern / experimental one - besides to watching it I also consider my hobby to stage one play a year with my friends. Music is close to my heart as well. I am no expert and no virtuosi but I really like listening to stuff and jamming on my bass time to time. And last but not least, education policy - that's what I am paid for and what I spend most time with and I have to say I like it so far. There is so much food for thought there...

Music, Movies, and Books
Too much to list.
If you are interested in Czech movies, try some stuff by Petr Zelenka (I think his sense of humour says a lot about us; try Buttoners, The Karamazov Brothers or Year of Devil if you find it) or Jan Švankmajer (he also shot some short movies with no language barriers so you can youtube them).
When it comes to music, I go through some sort of "indie folk phase" in the moment (with Bon Iver on the top currently, I guess), peppered with a bit of Morphine-like low-rockers and other wanna-be undergrounders. But there are a lot of thinks I listened to before and I am going to listen to in the future... If you're interested, I can play you some Czech music when we meat.
