ABOUT ME

I've spent the last 9 years or so living at various organic farms and ecovillages around the country. I currently live at an ecovillage/retreat center in Shutesbury MA called Sirius Community (www.siriuscommunity.org)...involved in all kinds of activities from making firewood to growing shiitake mushrooms.

PHILOSOPHY

Living lightly on the land...being of service to others. Listen to your heart, beware of your mind. If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm just getting acquainted with CS and so far i think it's an awesome networking/traveling tool. i couldn't have dreamed up a better organization for such a purpose.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just finished a 4100 mile solo car journey across the USA. I was lucky enough to stay with 3 different members of couchsurfing.org at various locations along my route (5 nights total). Without Couchsurfing, my 18 day car trip would not have been nearly as fun.

Intereses

Being a responsible citizen of earth, but doing it with a sense of adventure. Exploring the mystery within and without.

New age, classical rock, reggae...most everything i enjoy/tolerate except for metal. I enjoy reading permaculture style books, eastern philosophy, esoteric psychology/metaphysical.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Right now one of my greatest inspirations is my mother's dog Rufus, who has managed to cope, come into acceptance, and thrive with only 3 legs, after recently having a front leg amputated due to cancer. Dogs only know now...no self pity for what could have been, should have been...no cursing the Gods for their fate...
