CURRENT MISSION To let every day move me. ABOUT ME I am nearing the end of my masters program and thinking about teaching science to the youngins when I finish up. I have also recently delved into standup comedy, and let me tell you, it is a weird hobby. I like to cook, brew beer, ferment things, bike, swim, watch artsy movies, play cards. I'm trying to buy less and make more. I really like it when people share their skills and secrets with me.I also love most outdoor activities: biking, hiking, yoga (ok so lots of that happens inside), rock climbing, and I even tried surfing once but was not exactly a natural (chock it up to my east coast blood) PHILOSOPHY Be kind. Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I have hosted a few people and I love doing it. I am looking forward to traveling and surfing in the future.

I like a lot of movies. Artsy movies, documentaries, and Armageddon. I like Bob Dylan, Beck, The Who, The Clash, Devotchka, Andrew Bird, Modest Mouse, Simon & Garfunkel, Lady Gaga, Cat Stevens, on and on and on Vonnegut, Murakami, Calvino, Brautigan, Irving (I know, where the ladies at? I gotta work on that.)
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I swim in waterfalls all the time. It's amazing even if you do it every day.
