ABOUT ME
Married. Will be traveling with husband. Uncertain about inviting guests into our home, but will probably do it because we'll need some place to stay on our trip.
Dan, my husband is a college student. He plays guitar. I sing. He is an artist as well.
I like to Geocache. Dan likes about everything else that involves the outdoors.
PHILOSOPHY
Every life is important. Every person can make a difference. All people deserve my respect--no matter their color or their personal background.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm just starting out by checking out the site and filling out my profile.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Well, nothing called couchsurfing. But I've done a lot of traveling and staying with strangers. Mostly through church trips where people offer up their homes to traveling families. Once I stayed in someone's home in Mexico. You can't flush the toilet paper there. Another time I really remember was in a florist's home.
Interests
I like to read a lot. I also like crafting and making jewelry to sell on Etsy. My shop is http://smilesandsunshine.etsy.com. I love kids, but don't have any of my own yet. I want to travel some more before we start having kids. That's not the reason for waiting, but in the mean time, let's go!

Music, Movies, and Books
Michael Phillips, TV, chick flics, Oprah's big give. Lots and lots of books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Columbia Gorge Basin is beautiful when the sun rises over the river.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know English. I could help with that. I'd like to learn Spanish. I know a little. But not enough to get by in the real world.
I'm also an elementary school teacher. So I'm pretty good with book learning and such.
My husband is a guitar player and an artist. I don't know what he'd like to share because he's pretty independent.
