About Me

There is a child and an old man that live inside me. They like to play.
They like to run thru the fields and the tall grass and the forest.
They like the smell of the ocean.
They like to sit and watch the sunset and listen to the crickets at night.
Sometimes, when the moon is up, their eyes grow big and they begin to twitch
And dance and sing from the belly and the throat and the chest.
They stomp around like wild gods of wine and play with the animals of the evening
And fall asleep drunk and happy around the fire.
If you happen to have a child and an ancient one inside you too, I think we will get along quite well :)

PHILOSOPHY

Take risks. Say hello. Be here now. Smell things. Feel. Share. Wonder. Speak truthfully. Sing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing lets us connect with explorers and adventurers, kind souls and wild-hearted people. It lets us see the world and ourselves. I think of two children meeting for the first time. It's easy and honest like that, at least it should be. We're all just big kids on a big playground.

Interests

Music (playing and listening, singing).
Ecstatic dance.
Anything in nature. (hiking, backpacking, surfing, skinny-dipping, rock-climbing, canoeing)
Talking about life.
Playing. Wandering. Camping.
Mushrooms. Plant medicine. Meditation.
Poetry. Writing. Sharing stories.
Massage. Yoga.
Being present.
Spontaneity. Love in all its magical forms.

Music, Movies, and Books

Pixies and Neil Young.
Mark Twain (one of my nicknames is Huckleberry!)

Let's show each other our favorite music! We can take turns chopping vegetables, stirring the pot and being DJ!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've spent more than two years of my life outside the United States. That is rare for an American!
I've spent probably close to two years of my life camping.
Really though, amazing is an attitude. It's amazing somebody might be reading my words right now.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to get better at cooking. Let's make a meal together.
If I have free time, I would love to take you about and show you around. I like exploring, we can explore together!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer my presence and my gratitude. Good conversation. Playfulness. And any random help around the house you might need.

Countries I’ve Visited

Ethiopia, Mexico, Panama

Countries I’ve Lived In
