About Me

- I live with my family: see our group profile here & send any requests there https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/tageury -

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the entire world, read all the books, hear all the music, & meet all the people. :) Who knows what's possible.

ABOUT ME

I'm an outgoing introvert with a passion for travel, books, and music. I want to be a Teen/Children's Librarian in a public library. I wrote a musicology thesis for my BA in Humanities and now I'm starting my Master's in Library Science. I've mostly worked in libraries and schools and I adore kids but I get along well with people of all ages. What's your story?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why travel if not to learn about different cultures, stories, and people from the actual source?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Before I had my own profile, with my family, I've surfed in:
Austin, Texas
Tucson, Arizona
London, England
Glossop, England
Insch, Scotland
Frankfurt, Germany
Hamburg, Germany

And we have also hosted surfers from Canada, Germany, St. Augustine, FL, Stuart. FL, and Orange City, FL.

Interests

I love music, going to concerts, traveling, reading, dancing (I love bachata!), watching movies, experiencing new cultures, designing and creating earrings, blogging, spending time with my family, and tea.

Music, Movies, and Books

I obviously love books and I have a Goodreads account, if you want to look me up. Rick Riordan is my favorite author but I'm a completely sucker for any type of ancient-mythology-in-the-modern-day storyline.

I have played trumpet and piano and various other things, but right now I'm into taking musicology classes and thinking about how crazy and significant music is for us all. If I had to pick a top 5, I'd go with The Beatles, Muse, Twenty One Pilots, Skinny Living... actually, there's too many choices, so I can't confirm a top 5. But let's talk music!

Love movies. Not a scary movie person, but 10 Things I Hate About You is a classic, and the Before Sunrise movies are wonderful. Also, throwback to A Bug's Life because that's what I watched as a baby. I like superhero movies and classics and I love reading the trivia about movies on IMDB after watching them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitchhiked from Denmark to Nowhere Festival in Spain with one of my best friends and then made a ton of other wonderful unforgettable friends. That was leading up to my semester of study in The Hague in The Netherlands. One of the coolest time periods of my life so far.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been part of my family's couchsurfing account for several years, but as I am not living in the house forever, I've made my own account! Saying that, it'll likely be several years til I can host, but you can always ask my family! But I love to travel, so I'm definitely staying in the couchsurfing community.
