About Me

ABOUT ME

I just spent a year teaching English in South Korea. I took the opportunity to travel a bit afterwards, but now I'm back home, embarking on my next great adventure: medical school. I love traveling, meeting new people, and learning about new cultures, which is why I joined Couchsurfing, obviously.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just want to meet new people and experience new places.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted and been hosted by many people now, and I haven't had a single bad experience. Everyone has been absolutely wonderful. I'm so glad to be a part of this fantastic community!

Interests

Martial arts - I've done Taekwondo since I was 11, and I've also dabbled in other martial arts such as Krav Maga, Muay Thai, historical European longsword fencing, and Hapkido.

Food - I love to eat. I also really want to learn how to cook more, but I only know how to cook a few things right now.

Animals - I was raised by 2 vets, surrounded by all kinds of animals. My pigs and goats are my babies. They don't live with me, but if you're interested in meeting some adorable creatures, I can take you to my parents' house.

The Great Outdoors - I like hiking, camping, riding horses, relaxing and enjoying beautiful scenery, etc.

(Three Amazing Things I've Done)

Going to live in a foreign country, without knowing the language ahead of time.

Competing for a World Championship title in Taekwondo. (I didn't win, but I'm still proud that I competed.)

Volunteering for a Crisis Text hotline that is aimed at helping teens and young adults through a crisis.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, you saw my interests above. I'm always happy to share what I know and learn from others.

I can teach you how to solve a Rubik's cube, if you'd like. Yay for useless skills.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd like to share as much as I'm able, since they are sharing so much with me by opening up their homes. Whether that is self-defense lessons, stories, etc. is up for them to decide.
