WE DON'T LIVE IN BARCELONA BUT 1h SOUTH, IN A RURAL AREA OF THE BAIX PENEDES.

We are Ainara (Spain) and Sonia (Colombia, left to Spain in 2000).

We quit our jobs in 2008 and had been travelling around the world with our backpacks for a few years.

We try to have a simple life and think we are friendly and easygoing, respectful and honest.
We adapt ourselves easily to situations, cultures and new people.

We love long trips.
We lived 9 months in a van through Europe and Turkey.
We stayed in Asia, Australia and NZ for more than 2 years and a half.
We experienced 8 months in Southern and Eastern Africa.
After crossing the Atlantic on a cruise relocation, we did the Americas for 3 years, from Patagonia to Canada.

In 2019, we settled down in a small house in the Baix Penedes (1h south of Barcelona), between Mediterranean and mountains. Yes, we love swimming and hiking!

Now, doing shorter trips, East of the Mediterranean/Middle East, Iceland, Republica Dominicana.
And eager to continue!

NO VIVIMOS EN BARCELONA SINO 1h AL SUR, EN UN PUEBLO RURAL DEL BAIX PENEDES.

Somos Ainara (España) y Sonia (Colombia, en el 2.000 marchó a España).

En 2008 dejamos nuestros trabajos y viajamos por el mundo con nuestras mochilas varios años.

Intentamos llevar una vida sencilla y creemos ser amigables, respetuosas y honestas. Nos adaptamos fácilmente a situaciones, culturas y gentes nuevas.

Nos gustan los largos viajes en ruta.
Vivimos 9 meses en una furgoneta por Europa y Turquía.
Recorrimos Asia, Australia y Nueva Zelanda durante más de 2 años y medio.
Después, experimentamos 8 meses el sur y este de Africa.
Tras cruzar el Atlántico en un crucero posicional, recorrimos las Américas por 3 años, desde Patagonia a Canadá.

En 2019, nos establecimos en la Casita en el Baix Penedes (1h al sur de Barcelona), entre el Mediterráneo y las montañas. Sí, nos encanta nadar y caminar!

Ahora, hacemos viajes más cortos, Este del Mediterráneo/Oriente Medio, Islandia, República Dominicana.

Ainara es la que sabe idiomas (bilingüe al crecer en la frontera entre Francia/España en el País Vasco). Sonia ha mejorado mucho su inglés e está intentando no olvidar su español.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love CS and participate like guests and hosts. Helping, sharing and learning with people.

Our first Couchsurfers experience was in Australia (end of 2012). Terrific! We loved it so much that we did 6 weeks in Korea and 2.5 months in Japan, non-stop Couchsurfing!
In South-East Asia and Africa we also stayed and shared with local people, thanks to CS.
So many nice experiences all over the Americas. Easy between Latinos, speaking spanish.
And we keep on meeting amazing people on our shorter trips.

Nos encanta CS y participamos como huéspedes y anfitrionas. Ayudando, compartiendo y aprendiendo de la gente.

Nuestra primera experiencia como Couchsurfers fue en Australia, a finales de 2012. Increíble. Nos gustó tanto, que estuvimos a continuación 6 semanas en Corea y 2.5 meses en Japón, haciendo CS sin parar.
En el sudeste de Asia y Africa también hemos conocido y compartido con gente local, gracias a CS.
Tantas lindas experiencias por las Américas. Muy fácil entre Latinos, hablando el mismo idioma.
