Overview
About Me
I'm quite open minded, easy going, and really enjoy a good conversation or a night spent nose deep in a book. To be honest I prefer conversation (in many languages although I only know Arabic and English enough to carry on a conversation over 2nd grade level at the moment) over most other activities so I can assure you I would be a quiet guest, and I offer a very comfortable, quiet, and relaxed place to stay as a host.
I love to meet new people, share in a good home cooked meal, and otherwise expand my life experience. My family is poly so there are three of us in the house, but we are all very open minded and caring individuals. We just ask that you are as well as judgemental people of any type are not welcome in our home. Otherwise, you are more than welcome to stay with us.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We'd love to have you stay with us if you need a place. We have two very large sectional couches, and also a spare bedroom with plenty of bathrooms/showers to go around. Perhaps enough space for 7 people. It is honestly too much house for the three of us (we were left the house by my parents), and to keep it for oneself is greedy and harmful in my opinion. As a practicing Hindu I find sharing what one currently is responsible for caring for on this Earth to be the best way to serve others. I don't see myself using couchsurfing.com as a 'surfer', but to be able to offer a roof to someone in need is the great honor.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Indian Classical Music, Blues, 60's Pop/Rock, Jimmy Buffett (guilty pleasure).
Movies: I watch very few, but I do enjoy most films by Wes Anderson or the Cohen Brothers. I'm a big fan of the Tamil film industry, and I also enjoy Science Fiction (Stargate (the television show as well), Star Trek, etc).
Books: Far far far too many to list. If you stay with us you will see the largest collection of items we watch over in this house is our books. I couldn't begin to count the number of books in our library....you will not be lacking anything to read to say the least that is for sure. All different subjects too; however, I must admit, our fiction section is quite lacking but there is a plethora of religious texts from many different traditions, languages, science, math, history, and of course philosophy.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am more than happy to share my love of music, philosophy, astrology/tarot etc with whomever stays with us. I am also looking forward to learning what you have to share as well. The ability to learn from one another is key to a healthy friendship in my opinion so please feel free to pick my brain, and don't be offended if I return the favor.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If I do happen to stay with you I can offer you conversation, and perhaps some entertainment in the form of music. I can also offer Astrology and Tarot readings as well as meditation and yoga instruction (although I make no claims to be an adept teacher I will gladly pass on what knowledge I do have to those interested). Mostly I promise to be a quiet guest who keeps to herself if that is what you prefer. I am more than content to spend the evening with my books, and not bother anyone; however, I am just as willing to spend the evening chatting and getting to know one another.
