About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Roam freely!

ABOUT ME

I have lived in Ann Arbor, Michigan for the past 5 years studying Chemical Engineering as an undergrad and now Environmental Water Resource Engineering. I have had to opportunity to live in cooperative housing situations for several years with up to 23 people, which I think has prepared me for future couchsurfing adventures! I also left Ann Arbor to work in Los Angeles for two summers, living with new acquaintances on both occasions.

PHILOSOPHY

Never "grow up" - play 'til I die! Take care of this body, take care of others, take care of the earth, and listen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I recently picked up surfing (not the couch-type!) and hope that couchsurfing.org will help me find a place to stay when wind strikes the Great Lakes! I have hosted some friends-of-friends at my home and would like to open my place up to other couchsurfers as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Newbie! Looking forward to contributing to this global community.

Music, Movies, and Books

On heavy rotation for me right now are Future Islands, Surfer Blood, Yeasayer, Ava Luna, Beach House, Teen Daze... I will try to add some new music as I discover it! My taste in books is mostly nonfiction. I think we all know a good movie when we see one. I also like current events/historical/documentary flicks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I will get back to this one. I saw a kid break his snowboard a week ago, which I thought was pretty crazy. Luckily he seemed okay minus a black eye.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like cooking with people, especially those who are more creative in the kitchen than me. I am always willing to supply some home brew! I can teach how to make hard cider or beer. I want to share my love for sports with other people - snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing, biking, hiking, swimming. It isn't about competition or being "good," it is about the love of learning and improving. I do also enjoy some competitive soccer or other sport!
