Overview
About Me
Hello! My name is Sourov Dey and I am a solo traveler from West Bengal, India.
I am currently traveling slowly across India on foot and by hitchhiking, trying to understand real life, people, and culture beyond tourist places.
I live very simply and believe in respectful, low-impact travel. I enjoy meaningful conversations, listening to people’s life stories, and learning from local experiences. I am calm, clean, non-smoker, non-drinker, and I always respect house rules and personal space.
Whenever possible, I like to contribute by helping with small tasks such as cleaning, organizing, cooking help, or any kind of volunteer support. I don’t expect luxury—just a safe place to rest and genuine human connection.
For me, Couchsurfing is not about free stay, but about trust, sharing, and learning from each other. I believe every meeting teaches something valuable.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
Wishing you good journeys and good people 🌱

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I travel with limited resources and an open heart.
Couchsurfing helps me meet kind people, understand different lifestyles, and experience places through local eyes rather than hotels or money.
I am happy to stay for even one night, follow all house rules, and leave the place as clean (or cleaner) than I found it.
Interests
I am passionate about exploring new destinations, hiking, hitchhiking, and traveling on a very low budget. I am also interested in volunteering for activities such as educational support, community work, health awareness, and environmental conservation. I love connecting with different cultures, taking on new challenges, and stepping out of my comfort zone to gain unique experiences.
