I'm a widow on a mission to see as much of the world as possible and have as many adventures as possible. I snowshoe in Wisconsin but have learned snorkeling is a lot more fun so travel is a necessity. I ride a recumbent trike, kayak and participate in 5k walks and team sprint triathlons. I am currently training as a paraglide pilot at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, CA.
Since 2010 I have traveled to 25 countries both as part of small group tours and independently. My intention is to see the countries that require greater physical stamina like the upcoming Stans and Caucusus, during the next 5-7 years then continue with the typical overseas countries like France, Germany, etc after that.

I am hoping for a more intimate knowledge of the places I travel. I find people who love where they live offer the greatest insight and their pleasure can be infectious. Often traveling peaks my curiosity about local customs and this site may offer a way of getting an insider's perspective.
