Younger middle aged fellow (single - never married - no kids) remains physically active (and athletically inclined) ...... same size and shape ---that I was as a sophomore in high school. ALTHOUGH.. have always been "big" on food appreciation & consumption .....as a practical religion for my entire life. Food provides some of the greatest pleasure in life !!!
Mexican and Cajun and Italian and Thai-----seafood (fish) and wild game (elk, venison) AND vegetarian (spinach & kale & broccolli) pizza and lasagna and.... pulled pork w/ dill pickles and okra & black-eyed peas & boiled peanuts - oh yea
and
huckleberries and blackberries and raspberries and chocolate syrup on minty and swirly purple ice cream. Many are the blessings !!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am hoping to efficiently / economically (and asap) relocate to Minneapolis-St. Paul. I believe that with a little luck and good fortune - someone (via Couchsurfing?) might help expedite this relocation. Why Minneapolis ? for a number of reasons and after twenty years in Montana - East Glacier (where I own a place), Hungry Horse, Whitefish, Bozeman, Missoula and now back in Bozeman - I WANT TO MOVE TO THE--
"Minneapple" (always hoped for the day) ---- esp. bike friendly Twin Cities and the land of ten thousand lakes and (car & bike & backpack)camping and fishing and canoeing -and for all of the change in seasons!
Over the years -
I have frequently returned and have much history with the north woods and especially the north shore of Lake Superior. And my beloved Twins and Vikings. AND- I would like to relocate there now.

Interests

Bicycle transport lifestyle including off road and gravel road and short tours and city biking and taking my bike with me aboard Amtrak. I enjoy live music and loud pubs especially where there are foreign people and languages. Has anyone been to the "Three Musketeers" in Rotterdam Holland ? Also I lived in L.A. for almost ten years.- and my favorite restaurant is Mexican. However--
I would like to visit New Orleans for a soul/ food /spice and drink and culture extravaganza!!!

I am a serious architecture student and have been involved with civil engineering and architectural graphics since my teens. I am currently seeking employment with an architectural firm utilizing---- the Autodesk Architectural Software suite.... esp. BIM via Revit incl'g. Navisworks and Autocad as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am an avid consumer of design culture literature and magazines and have collected art and architecture books for many years. I remain fascinated by post Civil War history and particularly the James - Younger bros. and collect books on this as well.

I have not owned a television in over twenty five years and do not see many movies-
However - freq. revisits: Mel Brooks, Second City, Red-Green, Caddyshack, Where the Buffalo Roam, Redford - Newman, Long Riders, Little Big Man, JFK stuff, SNL reruns (Belushi, Chevy, Murray, Gilda-Jane -Lorraine, Ackroyd, Morris) -forever !!!!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I flew a kite on the beach at Parsons Landing - Santa Catalina Island, California- and by using (many rolls of) surveyors tape as a tail - I completely WOWed everybody on that beach (and nearby in boats and airplanes) by lifting over a half of a mile (long) of brightly colored tape into the air!!!!!
I successfully retrieved the entire length upon landing the kite.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to hook up with someone likewise interested in architectural design and modeling and related graphics and media AND-
with my eight years running Autodesk software subscription - am in a good position to teach and share (skills and software) and focus on high level virtual reality (BIM) design and in conjunction with someone similarly PASSIONATE.

I will be eager to help out with late winter snows, spring yard work and gardening and building maintenance, house-sitting, dog-sitting, cat - rabbit - goat - sheep, chicken, ducks OR WHATEVER (references available for most all of the above)

I feel that $$$$ should play a part at the very least ---for basic utility costs and maintenance and other shared expenses... I am somewhat of a clean freak and will certainly strive for harmony, equity, balance!!
