About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm spontaneous and a last minute planner, or actually not really a planner to be honest.

I'm living in Antwerp, where I work as a Dutch teacher.

Some time ago I volunteered as a museum Guide in Kazerne Dossin, the Belgian Museum on Holocaust and Human Rights. Definitely worth a visit if you're passing through.

PHILOSOPHY

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The funniest thing was a walk by night in the Fontainbleau forrest (near Paris). I went there with my host Pierre-Yves and a couple of his friend, in total some what 40 couch surfers. On my way through the woods I talked to so many people, all kinds of languages, laughed a lot and had some drinks... We followed the trip organizers for about two hours through the dark until we arrived in an half open cave. Here we had a night bbq, talked, sang and waited for the sun to come up. It was magical.
The way back home was more difficult as me and my host decided to go back through the forrest by ourselves. We got lost. :-D

Eventually, after walking for hours, hiking and a train ride, we got back to Paris, slept for a few hours and then visited Paris 'à vélo'.

In the mean time I've been back to Fontainebleau two times since.
